Echo 1 614
I think I'm finally ready to buy an airsoft gun, so I've been doing some research on the guns I'm interested in. I was originally planning on buying the Dboys Mk12 Mod 1, but I've recently discovered the beautiful HK416. The SRC and VFC models are too expensive, so I'm either going with the JG HK416 or the Echo 1 614. I'm leaning to the latter, but I'd like to get some input from you guys. I've looked everywhere online for some sort of reviews of the Echo 1 614, but I assume since the gun just was released, there's not much information about it. I also understand that Echo 1 is basically a rebranded JG, but are there any significant differences between these two models? I've been recommended to get the JG from overseas just so I can have the trades, but having the trades on the gun isn't that big of a deal to me.

Echo 1 is JG re-shimmed and properly greased .
That is all. You also cannot import guns from overseas or the USA, you have to use a Canadian retailer otherwise your gun will be confiscated by Canadian customs and destroyed. (And No, You will NOT get a refund) |

Clearly you're not ready to buy an airsoft gun. Great, you researched the gun, now research the LAWS! Read more. lots, lots more!

I live in the States, so importing from overseas should be alright.
So does the re-shimming and greasing make the Echo 1 a better purchase for a first-time AEG owner? It seems the E1 comes with a few extra features--PEQ box.. do many people use these over having their battery in the stock? |

The shimming on the Echo1 will make it last a lot longer than the unshimmed JG one. And.. The PEQ depends where the thing is wired to, and what type of stock it has. |

US laws are different from Canadian laws. I should have stated I am in the States. I switched from another airsoft forum to Airsoft Canada--people are more helpful, friendly, and active. Sorry about the misunderstanding.

This is a CANADIAN airsoft forum. Go to the US airsoft forums, trust me its going to be a lot more gentler on your eyes.
www.airsoftretreat.com Edit: If you do want to stick around, fill your profile out and put US or w/e state you live in for location. |

BTW, I'm digging the multicam wallpaper on your website I think I'm going to have to steal it, clean it up a bit, and use it as my desktop wallpaper |

AL = Alabama. Fairly down in the US last I checked. Count yourself lucky to be able to get pretty much anything you want, including the real versions.
I was impressed when I once drove through Virginia and stopped at a gun shop just for kicks. It was a gun-nut wet dream. |

Dude, my mom died when I was 7. So you have no friends, causing you to settle for making friends with dead bodies?

Is the gun wired to the front so I'm forced to use the PEQ box? Will I not be able to use a battery in the crane stock without re-wiring the gun?
