Are you asking about just the CA M15A4 line, cause if so, mine had to get a new mechbox installed after 10,000 shots, and thats only after I replaced the pinion gear on the motor once. But to be fair, the gun was upgraded to shot 380 fps.

Nope the sportline series...plastic body instead of metal, but still has trades.

I searched and found about three reviews before posting. I'm wondering about long term problems, after reading some forums it seemed as if the motors had problems with seizing.

CA uses the same motor for many of its products IIRC, so it's no more prone to seizing than any of their other armalites (which, while rare, is admittedly more frequent than other brands).

After reading reviews, they state the gun does have a different motor, which is why I am wondering.

Oh, I didn't know that...my mistake.

CA's quality control is getting better, so I'd guess that the new motor would be comparable, if not better than their old motors. Beyond that...no clue.

I doubt that, since they've only been available in HK shops for a little over a month and a half.

I find these models interesting. The sportline AR series has the ability to use a better-quality one-piece hopup and have a quick-strip capability, while maintaining an affordable plastic body, and is midway in price between a TM and a JG clone.

I think this gun is going to have a big impact with 2 groups of people:

1. Those who want to "try out" the hobby and not spend a lot of cash but still want quality gear from a "name" manufacturer.

2. Those who usually buy TM as project guns and then replace most of the internals anyway.

Well AA has 10 in stock so I just assumed some people would have some, but maybe not yet I guess.

And yea, the quick strip ability and one piece hop up are appealing.
