I want to know more! That nade' launcher is what has me opting towards a STAR over VFC.
EDIT: Jesus christ, it's 720 US! Last edited by Andres; December 19th, 2007 at 21:32.. |

I wanna know the quality of the mechbox and such. Caaaas from what I remember about the old star stuff you have to do some fixing and tunin before it would be working good. Then again that can be said for most guns

Its been discussed, as well as PTW L85, PTW G36, PTW AK, PTW M249, PTW M60, PTW Sig, PTW P90, PTW UMP, etc. etc.
In reality a PTW SCAR could probably be done, just need to get a custom upper (the real steel one is polymer anyway so could use the same) and dimension it right to fit the cylinder and barrel/hopup. Then just make some sort of custom mount to get the stock from a SCAR mounted on it. Would require some custom machining (mostly machining polymer so it'll go quick, or could use Delrin) but wouldn't be the hardest custom job I've seen airsofters do. I still think the stock is fugly, and that grenade launcher looks like ass in my opinion. Then again I used to hate the FAMAS and now I kinda like how it looks, I don't hate the stock nearly as much as I used to so maybe the entire thing will grow on me. As for STAR quality I've had a couple of their products and the only problem I know of is fried motors though I never ran into that myself. I did think that it was a neat ideal that in the original SCAR-H concepts was able to take AK-47 mags without any modification though as far as I know they scrapped that. |

By the looks of it, it seems that the inner barrel is directly mounted inside the outer barrel which if it is, would be awesome feature for quick change set up from CQB to full lenght withing seconds. Gearbox seems pretty easy to change aswell. Not too expensive neither 720usd considering that there's a nade launcher included.

The only SCAR I'd want would be the H variant however I promised my girlfriend I wouldn't buy any other airsoft gun up until after July. Got 12 already and she thinks it's enough for now...
