Mag repair....
I have some G36 mags that are having some feed issues, I'm thinking they have weak springs is it possible to get new springs for them. I already have one apart and got the spring out of it. Just wondering where you'd pick one up. I'm looking around at local places in Nanaimo/Victoria. But are these available on any airsoft sites? Just in case these aren't TM they are some china companies mags.

clean, lube and make sure not to get any dirt in.... and stretching the spring will work for a time if it was a weak spring.... but most of the time it is just some dirt...

You can take the mag apart and give it a good cleaning, oiling and restretch the spring. I know guarder makes some hicap repalcement spring/winders. As for regular mags Im not quite sure.

My idea was to find some place that has springs I could get a custom spring and replace it with something a little stiffer was my original plan. But thanks for all the input. I have a few options now.

Install a sector gear clip in your gearbox. It will hold back the tappet plate and nozzle for just a bit longer giving the mag a little more time to feed the BB's up into the gun. They work magic in high ROF setups and it is easier to install one SGC in your gearbox than going through all of your mags, if you have as many as I do (13 for my primary weapon)
Personally a prefer the King Arms version. But this is the old version and they did put out a version 2 some time back. Otherwise the Big Out version has served me well. Army Code have also released one, but I have not had one of these in any of my guns. |
