Tokyo Marui Thompson M1A1 - Need some advice of current prices
Hi everyone, I am just starting in the Airsoft sport.
In the past I had some Airsoft guns, most cheap ones, and now I want to purchase some good ones, particularly WWII Airsoft guns and would like some help on purchasing the Tokyo Marui Thompson M1A1. I know we cannot order Airsoft guns from outside Canada, so my only option, as far as I know, is 007 Airsoft and A&A's, which have basically the same price. I got the follwoing price quote from 007 Airsoft for the Tokyo Marui Thompson M1A1: Tokyo Marui Thompson M1A1 $ 595, SANYO Battery 8.4V 1800mA $ 75, or EASTPOWER Battery 8.4V 4200mA $ 120, and charger $ 35 I have multiple hicap mag instock $ 80 So I would like to know if $705 for a Tokyo Marui Thompson is too much or is it the best deal I can possible get here in Canada. I've just messaged John in order to get age verification in Edmonton, so i was wondering if i can find a cheaper TM Thompson in the Classifieds when I get verified. I also want to know what battery would be better for the Thompson, in terms of quality and compatibility, if the price is not an issue: the Sanyo 8.4V 1800mA or the EASTPOWER Battery 8.4V 4200mA. I know in the US you can order one TM Thompson for $350 with battery and charger, so i was just impressed by the price difference in Canada and would really appreciate any insights into that. Thank you |

Get the gun from either A&A or 007 (remember 007 lists the prices WITH tax included).
Get the battery from www.cheapbatterypacks.com and get the charger from bbbastard.

I also forgot to question if i can buy from the US a hicap mag for the thompson, since it cost less than half of the Canadian price.
I've read the FAQ and it says that I CANNOT import AEG magazines with fake cartridges but i CAN import Magazines for AEGs and GBBs without fake cartridges, however i am notr sure in which category the hicap mag for the thompson falls. Sorry guys i am pretty newbie on this and just want to do the right thing |

Now how can i order the CORRECT battery? which one is of better quality and durability: the Sanyo 8.4V 1800mA or the EASTPOWER Battery 8.4V 4200mA? I just don't want to buy a cheap battery that might screw up my expensive and beloved airsoft gun Thanks again |

basically, for a battery, the more mA the better. Providing the charger you get can manage it. The battery that Ken(007) quoted you will be a large, so you will need to make sure that your charger has the right connector. Like kalnaren, I'd recommend the charger from bbbastard.

I have the TM Thompson, you won't be disappointed with it. As for the Hi-cap mags yes you can order them from the US, thats where I got mine from. Not many Thompsons come up in the classified section you could wait if you want, but I couldn't..

I love my Thompson very much, but for the battery, I got a 8.4V Large, with 4200 MaH. Just know, that my battery is about 3mm too large to close the stock. So it had the butt plate sort of open... however, it's not a huge problem because the butt plate stays in it's place.
Just saying, getting that battery in for the first time took a bit of effort. Great gun, though. |

What a friendly and helpful community we got here The charger from www.bbbastard.com you recommended is the Advanced NPT 1000-3000mah Charger for $55.00, right? I went to www.cheapbatterypacks.com to check the batteries but there are so many options and things such as "With and without Upgrade", "Choose Connector": large female tamiya, and so on, and i got confused. which options should i choose for the TM thompson? |

BTW, I will most likely get the Hicap from the US as well, since it cost less than half the price there. |

You said that the 8.4V Large, 4200 MaH battery you got is about 3mm too large to close the stock, and that it stays sort of open, so I was wondering what is the brand of your battery. Do you know if the EASTPOWER 8.4V 4200mA will be too large as well? Ken from 007Airsoft told me that he has 2 batteries in stock that will work with the thomposn: the SANYO 8.4V 1800mA $75, and the EASTPOWER 8.4V 4200mA $ 120, as i said before. Do you know if the EASTPOWER is as good as the sanyo in terms of quality? Thanks |

cheapbatteypacks is really good, or ehobbyasia.
4200 is a monster battery too unless your supper heavy on the trigger a 2000 mah would be fine and cheaper. For mags and batteries I would use ehobby as they are always cheap and good stuff. After you get verfied you could always ask around and see if someone has a thompson for sale. Could save you some money, but they are not that common. |

http://www.cheapbatterypacks.com/mai...r=15&model=151 The Elite 3600mAh without the upgrade will work fine.

Enjoy your gun when you receive it. I know I did
I personally have a 1700 mAH battery that fits fine. As Amano999 said a 2000 mAh battery will work fine. It all depends on how much shooting you do. |

Hell I use a 1500mah stick in mine and it works well.
