KSC USP's & Mk. 23

So i was reading a lot of reviews (well as many as i could find) and to tell you the truth, there doens't seem to be that much wrong with either of them. Here is what i have concluded:

USP line:

Decent power and accuracy but an over-sensative hop-up unit

Mk. 23:

good power and accuracy, but noticabely weak recoil spring (i beleive this is the part that reterns the slide to the starting postition, but correct me if im wrong)

My question in this regard is: "Is the return spring that weak"

So me being a fan of the USP/Mk. 23 i would love to buy one, but i want them to have comparable range and accuracy to a TM hi-cappa 5.1 or more preferably, a TM M1911. That being said, for all of you USP/Mk. 23 users out there i started this thread so that you can post your gun info. I have heard of a few people who have scared LONG kills with the Mk. 23 and it got me wondering as to what they did to their gun. Heres how i think it should be set up, but correct me if you think its ineffecient:

Gun: <insert name/brand here>
Stock fps: <insert here>
Stock Accuracy: <insert here and include if possible grouping and range>
Upgrades put in: <insert here> for this part also include things such as metal slides and such
Upgraded fps: <insert here>
Upgraded Accuracy: <insert here and include if possible grouping and range>
Personal Comments: <insert here>

Now this is for USP/Mk. 23 but feel free to post other pistol info if you see fit.

Thanks to all who post,

Donster 125

Gun: KSC Mk23 05 Hardkick Heavyweight
Stock fps: ?
Stock Accuracy: ?
Upgrades put in: stock slide, upgraded recoil and hammer spring
Upgraded fps: ? pop can test says around 300-320fps with propane
Upgraded Accuracy: very accurate, iron sights accurate to > 30m
Personal Comments: bought it used with the upgrades already in place, it kicks nice, returns fast and is an absolute joy to game with. Last game I played, I had about equal kills with my M4 as I did with the Mk23.

Not gonna bother with filling out the form, but I have a KSC MK23, and can get easy range and accuracy using propane and 0.28g out to 150ft (and my indoor accuracy has been an easy 2" at 30ft at times with 0.28g or 0.30g, mostly with the suppressor on, which is suprising, but outdoors is still easy to hit a guy over 100ft away). If you are willing to try finding holsters and spare mags, go for the MK23. Just know it's NOT a smal gun, makes Hi-Capas look like sub-compacts. If you go USP, get the full sized one, as the KSC Compacts have been know to have issues.

Regarding the sluggish MK23 recoil spring, yes, it's quite sluggish even on propane, but i can teach you how to rearrange the spring assembly (if it's one of the dual spring designs you get) so it's as fast as a G19 with enhanced reciol spring, snap, snap, snap, instead of going back, going forward, going back, going foreward. My method reduced the slide travel distance by half.

Oh, not sure how the USPs are with a suppressor on, but the MK23 is pretty quiet. Seems one mag I have has decent output, like 315fps with 0.20g, and when I drop the hammer and fire it double action with the suppressor on, the slide doesn't move back much, but it's a bit louder than a springer. Sure one has to rack the slide again then drop the hammer to fire again, but hey, it's damn quiet!!! And my other mag (a new KSC one) cycles the gun with the suppressor on fully, but is still decently quiet compared to single action and no suppressor (get a crack out of it when shot).

so other than size, how do the two pistols stack up against each other? do they have comparable accuracy to each other? and is their range (when upgraded) comparable to that of a TM M1911? i would love to hear your thoughts.

I have the KSC mk23, stock, and other than the Ka-Chunk of the slide, it performs as well as any other gun I have (KSC Glock and TM 226).

The build quality is really nice and the heavy weight slide seems like metal. The mags hold gas forever too. You can get 3-5 mags worth out of one gas fill.

The TM non-blow back is a true sniper though. That is a silent gun that can shoot better than most AEG's. But if you are like me the NBB takes out all the fun.

ya tru say about the NBB. the only reason why i would get the TM version is cause of the LAM unit but even then its not worth it. The silencer has a shiny finish to it that i rather dislike and the gun apparently (i hav read reviews) is made of "cheaper" feeling plastic than the KSC ones.

Gun: TM MK23 *NON*Blowback
Stock fps: 330 on propane
Stock Accuracy: Very accurate and long range.
Upgrades put in: Upgraded the mags to hold propane
Upgraded fps: 330
Upgraded Accuracy: None.
Personal Comments: Quietest gun ever. If you're more than 10 feet away you wont even hear it (with the suppressor)
