Tm ak-47 front sight wobble
Hello I noticed right out of the box that my aks front sight shifted side to side. I searched it up and only answer I got was thread lock tried it didn’t work and I was wondering if any one knew how to fix this or even how to replace the part with a new one so I could use some other kind of optics I know this is a common problem but I couldn’t find a solution.

The front sight of the AK uses a screw under the cleaning rod to exert pressure against the threads. When the screw becomes loose, the whole front sight wobbles side to side. You could line up the sight properly, and then tap a hole in the outer barrel where the screw goes. Simply use a slightly longer screw and you will eliminate that problem.
Be careful that when you insert the new screw that you don't insert it too far into the barrel - if the inner barrel is in place while you are putting in the new screw you run the risk of over-penetration into the inner barrel and damaging/warping/bending your inner. Always secure the screw first with the inner barrel removed, then slide the inter barrel in slowly. If it won't go all the way in, it's because the screw is too far into the outer barrel - simply back the screw out a little and keep slowly reinserting the barrel until it slides all the way in with no resistance.

If that is too complicated for you, you can try wrapping a few layers of electrical tape around the end of your outer barrel until the front site is on tighter, than put in the screw with some blue lock-tite. Be sure though that the front site is lined up at 90 degrees.
