More information is required to help.
As it stands, attempting to research your gun on google, told me that this is a non blow back gun that runs off of green gas. If this is true, that co2 cartridge will do you no good. You will require a canister of green gas, or a propane canister with adapter and you will have to inject the gas into the bottom of your magazine.

If this gun is in fact a greengas/propane operated non blow back, you may find this website helpful.

Get a propane adapter and get propane. It's a lot cheaper. And yes, green gas and propane are the same thing.

Instead of spending money on that pistol, save up and buy a good one. But yes, silicone is highly recommended.

Its recommended... otherwise eventually the seals will dry up and the gun will start to leak. You can generally buy silicone oil at the same place as the propane adapter. Works great, and cheap to boot.

Care to share why not? Green gas is propane with perfume and silicone oil. The only difference is propane is MUCH cheaper, extremely easy to get, but smells worse.

Probably cuz the propane adapter alone is worth more than his gun

I suspect "superior quality" wasn't one of the motivational factors that convinced him to get the HGX-121 in the first place :P
