Nice, but I thought the Prometheus inner barrel was better in a 6.04.???
(6.03 if you are using very high quality bbs).

Don't get the piston with the metal teeth, the stress comes down to being on the teeth or the gears. Just use the stock CA reinforced plastic cylinder. I shredded one of those cylinders with metal teeth in about 2 months Costs 25$ to replace the cheap piston instead of 100$ for the gears. Also if you're using just a 120 spring, I don't think you need the reinforced gearbox if you're short on $$.

lose the flat gears and get the systema helical torque up set. youll need the systema half tooth helical piston as well. and i recommend the guarder cylinder kit minus the piston. and with all the crap ur putting on it, ur gonna top it off with a crappy rds? invest in an eotech. Also as much as i love the G2 surefire, its a c123 killer, i recommend the G&P RAS mount M6 with charger set. The scorpion is too big for the G36c so the M6 should be a better fit. Furthermore, the rechargable kit comes with a rechargable batt and it puts out a considerable amount of light. My scorpion puts out 500 lumens, which is pretty damn bright. Youll save alot of money in the long run instead of buying c123s and it comes with the pressure switch.

wow this thread is working just how i wanted it to thanks for all the post and I'm looking into all of them!
thought eotech was way to good for an airsoft gun. like i know they make it for real fire arms and its cost so damn much 346 bucks i think. if i were to get an eotech i would just be waisting money maybe in a few years i'll get one but i just don't deserve one at this stage in the game. You don't really need a reinforced mechbox. Stock CA v3 can safely withstand a M120-equivilant, especially if you use a polycarb piston head instead of the aluminum. My recommendation is to go with a Prometheus non-linear spring, rather than a Systema. Same with inner barrel, go with Prometheus (or KM) stainless steel instead of Systema brass. You also don't need new bushings, stock CA 7mm bushing is fine.
Actually, backtracking a bit, I'd recommend against a M120-equiv spring. Replacing the stock CA ported cylinder with a portless cylinder and running a M110-equiv will achieve similar or better FPS compared to a M120-equiv and a ported cylinder. Easier on the internals, too. If you use a M110-equiv, you don't even really need to replace the gears. Just reshim it to improve upon the factor job. You don't really need to put a riser under your RDS, unless you really want that really high RDS look. IMO, 10.8v battery is criminal, both on the gun and other people. If you stick with that large a battery, you might want to consider rewiring to Deans connectors.

prometheus MAKES a 6.04 barrel? lol
systema is 6.04 but i've heard of jamming problems. Honestly I've heard of problems in every tightbore, I've got a 6.03 and it's never jammed. why not buy a cylinder head? air nozzle? and most importantly: shims! without shims your guns only going to last a few mags before you start getting problems. And if your pushing for 400fps, might as well try to find a prometheus hard hopup rubber |

I did the same internals in my M4 and they work great.. Accurate and powerful.
I also added a metal nozzle. Personally would go with the 6.04 inner barrel. |

hmm had to double check but yes they do
http://www.21stcenturyairsoft.com/pr..._Inner_Barrels "High grade precision barrel from Prometheus at 6.04mm diameter for extra power and precision shooting. High grade precision barrel from Prometheus at 6.04mm" you use 6.03 with no jamming? Thats good to know, I was afraid of going to 6.03, although I really want too. Thaks for that bit of confidence. (offtopic- Anyone out there using 6.02 or 6.01 without jams? lollers)

I agree with the 110 spring bit, using a 120 would put you around 410-430 FPS (depending on the brand); my gun (modded CA36C) shoots 390-400 FPS with:
Systema Helical Torque Up's Type 0 Cylinder Aluminum cylinder head Aluminum piston head Guarder 110% spring Magnum Torque up Motor Sector Gear clip Upgraded metal bushings (can't remember which) Dean connectors 9.6v battery 500mm 6.03 Prometheus barrel (converted the gun to a g36 atm) Gotta agree with Frank I haven't had any probs with my Promethus'. I've also had the G36C madbull tightbore and it jammed ALOT; unless you plan on using KSC perfects, i'd recommend a different tightbore (e.g. prometheus) I've also found this set up has a great ROF and the gearbox is quiet and runs smooth |

Don't buy a new G36C inner barrel if you're planning to get the G36K R.A.S kit.

Just for reference wise, I have a V3 TM AUG mechbox with an 8.4V battery and stock internals except for a Systema M120 spring, Systema bearing spring guide, and metal bushings, and I'm pushing 400.

sounds cool, sounds cool i like the idea of downgrading the spring for 2 reasons
1) the spring could wreck my gear box and 2) i was worried the gun might end up over chroned to past 415 witch is illegal in tournaments I'm pretty sure in my area for an automatic airsoft gun. also never heard of deans connector please give me a link on it so i can see what it is. P.S. whats a ported cylinder looked it up on google and nothing popped up airsoft related. @omi-san: cant u use both R.A.S. kit barrel and an inner barrel. and if so i don't care dishing out an extra 50 for something that improves the gun accuracy's as much as it does.
