whats the motor pinion gear hex key size?
i have an CA m4 (long motor) and the pinion gear came off
i assume the hex key screw that keeps it in place is loose so i want to tighten it. but a 1mm hex is too small while a 1.5mm is too big so i assume its not metric. anyone know what is the correct size for it? thanks |

In R/C, pinions are on by .05" (imperial) usually. This is a rare size, as they usually say 1/4, 1/16", etc, then at the bottom you get .05". Try one of those.
I've never seen a metric pinion. And, sorry to say, I've never serviced my AEGs. |

My new CA high torque motor has a 0.05" imperial allen set screw in the gear.

I work at an auto parts supplier in Mission BC Canada. Those allen keys are not hard to find. We keep them in stock regularly. Just check your local tool or auto parts stores.
