correct molle gear for US SF
do the US SF guys wear Ciras or just the marines? I know that they wear whatever they really want... but I want to be as authentic as I can.
reason I ask is my plate carrier just doesnt have the capacity I'm looking for |

which unit? USMC FR uses diff kit from an ODA which uses diff kit from one seal team, to another. You need to be a bit more specific Graham.

US Army Special Forces are a unit that belongs in the Special Operations Forces (SOF) which comprise of several special units from Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines.
In the SOF, since you've mentioned Army units, you're mostly left with the Special Forces and Ranger units. The SF pics that I've seen, they wore a wide range of gear from chest harness to armour vest. If you want to be like a Ranger, just make sure that the gear comes in Ranger green. You're pretty safe if you choose something that is made by Eagle. Lot's of sites will have specific threads on these units so that you can get a better idea of what you like.

A Tan Maritime CIRAS is fine with SF units and many other SOF units
If your just looking for Plate carriers Ravs and CIRAS will be fine, but as you stated SF tend to where their own thang, depending on region and ODA. Some American SF and Polish SF in Ramadi SF and their tweaked humvee Sexy m79 Last edited by Godlyspartan; August 16th, 2007 at 05:28.. |

US Army Special Forces also use SPEAR gear (vertical MOLLE loops instead of horizantal like everyone else)

Also if you have Mag Pulls but they on back wards. SO turn them 90 degrees. It works a lot better.
