Airsoft Trajectory Project - ATP. Range, BB weight, all the info you need
I found this really good site with the detail right down to the bottom about flight range, BB weight differences and all that stuff.
Apparently, heavier BBs travel farther than lighter BBs, and this dude proves it in mass detail. have a look http://www.cybersloth.org/airsoft/trajectory/index.htm |

That is a brilliant piece of work and I wish I'd had it a few threads ago when I ended up arguing about the merits of heavier BBs and observations about greater travel distance... I was practically called a liar over it!

I thought about this alot when i was a little kid. Using the same force, the heavier bb would go less, but it has more potential distance.

Bah, hang on.
Ok, back up, I guess it was some "update save", all the links were listed as "album21" instead of Stalker since I uploaded them in my gallery. Last edited by CDN_Stalker; August 9th, 2007 at 20:45.. |

Yes indeed you did... just venting some frustration is all...

when you look at the charts, you can see when a bb is to light for the speed its going at, you can see them dipping down for a while befor going over then droping. so this would explain inconsistante shot spreaded far apart because of the bb going to fast for its own wieght.
