First gas blow back pistol

Hello my fellow BBer / airsofters,


First of all, I thought I'd thank everyone for the useful information I read on this forum. I learned much more here than any other place.


After reading many reviews and tips, my final choice is the KJ Works M9 (Full Metal Version) for 249.95$. I'm a novice in this area and this gun has the best quality/price ratio I could find. As my first gun, I didn't want to spend too much. This will initiate me into airsoft but I don't plan to play right away, with this pistol I'll just try to shoot cans and paper targets. The most important is the fun factor and realism. I hope I'm going to be satisfied.

Airsoft looks really fun and I like guns (the P90 is sexy!), this would be my test to see how I like it.



I don't think there are any suppressors made for this model, but just out of curiosity, do suppressors make a big difference on the gun's noise (not just pistols, but any airsoft gun in general)?


Any comments or tips are always welcomed, I'm still novice so something obvious to you, may not be as obvious to me

Airsoft silencers usually work pretty decently. I find they work better on Gas pistols, as opposed to electric pistols/rifles. Check out Madbull's line up. You'll love their level of quality.

Also, make sure to keep yer pistol(s) oiled (if you go with GBB).

This model uses green gas. To my knowledge, green gas is propane with silicone oil. Would only that be correct to keep the pistol oiled?
Or I need to add more, for example, I found these two products. Ultra lightweight silicone oil and silicone oil, but I don't really know what the difference is.

No, that won't be sufficient, as that oil only lubricates the mag, and blowback mechanism. You'll have to add lube to other parts aswell, such as the slide rails, and (not too necessary) trigger mechanism.

EDIT: By the way .. Your pistol is definitely fieldable. FMU, with propane is usually key to a good field pistol...

the sound surpression of silencers on GBBs is decent, you'll hear the difference, the sound the BB coming out of the barrel will be "silenced" but the metal slide blowing back will still be audible (ka-clink).

the sound surpression of silencers on AEGs are acceptable, the BB whoosing from the barrel will be muffled but,of course, the silencer won't silence the mechanical sound of the mechbox.

also keep in mind the accuracy will be affected as well.

I also own a KJW M9, Im the second owner and it has seen its uses over the years and due to great care from its previous owner and the same from me, I hope to get many many more games out of it. For its cost, its quality is well worth it. Unupgraded it performs very well and is very reliable over all.
