mg42 airsoft

I remember seeing an article where this person used a cd jewel case to fabricate a magazine for an airsoft mg42 semi auto. Vacu-form mg42 and mg34 plastic shells are available. What semi auto airsoft gun could be stripped down and put inside these shells. I have seen a video of an airsoft mg42
here is one link

and the video

Just to clarify, are you asking how to make working airsoft MG42 mags, or how to make working airsoft MG42s?

actually both. Canadian Tire sells a clear airsoft gun looks abit like some type of m16 it is electric thought it might be possible to strip off the clear plastic shell and fit it inside one of these shells. It is an electric gun

Well, the mag would really depend on the gun, so better to address that first.

Yes, you can probably fit a Crosman clearsoft gun's internal in a MG42 shell. However, that MG42 shell has better already be in Canada. Otherwise, you'll find that importing replica firearms is a bitch.

In the event of access to a MG42 shell in Canada, you'll probably want to stick something better than a Crosman internal inside it. Those clear Crosman guns essentially represent the bottom of the airsofting rung, and might not even survive such a transplant.

Don't forget that constructing replica weapons in Canada is prohibited. If I recall, it's a worse offense than actually importing.

Also, why would you put something as horrible as the clearsoft internals into a shell of anything? Good lord, that makes me throw up a little in my mouth.

It is illegal to modify or alter any weapon. So converting a dewat mg42 to airsoft makes the gun totally illegal. And if it was an original live fireing mg42 why would anyone want to ruin a good gun.

Because you wouldn't be able to use it in an airsoft skirmish? Well, I suppose you could, but nobody would play with you.

If you knew the price of an MG42, you would never do it. For that kind of money, if I wanted airsoft, I'd get an Escort gas blowback one (very powerful blowback).

A&A airsoft sometimes has real gun bodies without internals if I remember correctly.

I'd recommend just saving up any getting Shoei's MG42, building airsoft guns from the ground up is a bitch... Always at least like 10 times ahrder than you think its going to be. Better off buying like a professionally made one. I say I would recommend that, but it sounds like you really want semi-auto. kinda weird considering the 42 or 34 were primarily mounted support weapons, but like, is full auto airsof tillegal in Canada or somethin? If it is, man, like for once Im actually glad I live in the US...

and yeah gas for the shoei would cost mucho...
Plus it doesnt really look that good with a hose coming out of your gun, and going to a big can you gots to carry around. Thats why I never liked Escort's M60 line. Yeah its dank that its blowback, and it looks so realistic & cool, but you gotta carry around a huge fuckin tank with you. I guess I could live with it if I were manning it like dug-in and on a tripod, like it didnt have to be mobile, but still, itd be weird. Like paintball. And any internal reserve on a support weapon would be used up in a few seconds, so thatd be pointless. Better off sticking with electric... but then youd have to build your own...

i dunno. I just wouldnt get a 42. Get some other support weapon that someone actually manufactures. Itll be cheaper & more qualiticious.

Noone said full auto is illegal in Canada. Why in the world would gas cost "mucho"? I'm pretty sure these things take standard CO2/HPA tanks. If you want a high capacity, light weight tank, without the CO2 cooldown, you can get a carbonfiber HPA tank, 4500-5000psi.

I sure would love an Escort AK of any kind. Or SVD.

Cheers,
Alex
