Canadian flag on US woodland BDU?
I was just wondering if it's a silly thought to sew the Canadian flag on US issued B.D.U. What do you think? If not anyone know where I can look at the measurements as to where to sew it?
Thanks, Blitz |

Depends on if wanting a BDU uniform for yourself/team, or if you are trying to adopt one of those "impression" things. Am pretty sure Canadian Airsoft Regiment has Canadian Flags on their woodland BDUs, is the uniform they adopted (ok, they now have MARPAT as well).
Seriously, I don't think anyone would give a rat's ass unless you were equipped completely with a certain US soldier's look, webbing, gear, guns, etc. Then someone would ask "Why do you have a Canadian Flag on your US uniform impression?" Yes, there are a few anal people around that might bring it up, but largely they are chairsofters and either never have played or never will play. Lol |

Doesn't really matter. All the flag does is show what country you're from. We have a British major here on an exchange program and he wears Canadian accoutrements on his British uniform without it looking questionable.

If you're going to sew the maple leaf onto your BDU, may as well put in the same place that was standard on the OG107's. MikeL could probably correct me, but it was centered on the left shoulder, one inch below the seam.

I'm not all that picky on how realistic my set-up looks as long as it looks awesome. One of my Woodland BDU sets has the Hawaii(where I live) flag sewn onto it. I believe the placement is on the right shoulder...2-3 inches below the shoulder seam. If you go on the Cameltech website, they have the Canadian flag which you can in turn order in various camoflagues. Link: http://www.camotech.com/International.htm I used this company to order all my flags and nametapes in Multicam, Woodland, 3Desert, Black, and ACU. The only thing...expect a long wait time due to Iraq...
