A&A is stocking the CA SCAR CQC(Black)
Anderson and Anderson apparently just got 3 of these in, priced at $850.
http://aasurplus.ca/airsoft/product_...roducts_id=442 They also have 4 of the new M14 Scout for $800. http://aasurplus.ca/airsoft/product_...roducts_id=443 Feel free to flame, because I know some of you will be quite pleased to hear this. |

Bah...$850. I think I'll just wait for the SCAR craze to die down a bit. If it ever does.

It's not just the SCAR but most new guns are being made of better quality materials. I mean look at the TM Type 89, SLR105U/Para series, M14 Series. The quality is increasing, but so is the price unfortunately.

I'll agree it's true that quality and even finish are getting better all the time for airsoft guns. But I think partly there's that "new release" aspect still going on. My STAR L85A2 is fibreglass and steel and still affordable at $635

The SCAR is nice but there are quite a few other guns I would rather spend 850 on

Not Eye Safe, Pretty Boy Maximus on the field take his picture!

you guys DO understand that the AAsurplus pricing on the SCAR has nothing to do with the customer demand on the gun right?
|
May 14th, 2007, 00:21 | #10 |
no, it's all markup due to our crazy laws which essentially create monopolies in the airsoft market place.
the CA m14 is $240 on redwolf shit i wish i was american. |

I find it funny that all these guys with join dates of Oct 2006 or Jan 2007 are giving their expert analysis on the finer nuances of retailing airsoft in Canada (in this post and many others). You guys are so clueless that you actually think you know how it works. I'll help you out here. YOU HAVE NO CLUE!!!! So time to be quiet and let the grown-ups talk. You guys know nothing about exchange, duty, GST, brokerage and freight. Add to that the very meager (10% or less in many cases) of gross profit, $1250 license application fee and $600 annual renewal, and inevitable headaches associated with dealing with Asian retailers, CBSA and cranky "leet1337tacticalPWNJOONOOBS!!!! " idiots out there means that I wouldn't do it for the kind of money they make on this stuff.
