Grenade Launcher Practicality

Couldnt find this in any threads. Anyways I was thinking about buying a grenade launcher for my m16 (m203) but am skeptical about thier effectiveness during games. Never seen one used. They look cool as hell, but are they just a gimmick, or fairly useful, (depending on how u play)?

yea.... the gas launchers are pretty useless outdoors. they seriously have like a 10-20 foot effective range.

although the tm tactical launcher is somewhat more useful as its really just a shotgun in a m203 body.

Meh, I really enjoy my Madbull XM204 grenade. Using C02, it has tons more range than the crap green gas grenades(600+psi compared to 115psi), that and it fires 204 rounds a shot. There are also madbull C02 utility cartridges available that can fire just about anything that can fit in them.

An expensive venture to follow (regulator=$120, XM204=$120, etc.) but boy it is satisfying the cloud of BB's it produces.

first hand experience i can say they work pretty good...well except cooler weathers. i got a M03 40mm CA grenade launcher...i use it in games last the sunday before i used it at wasaga although it was pretty cold i worked perfictly fine...dosnt have a long range not more than 15 to 20 feet and you wouldnt want more than that coz the bbs just spread all over the place. perfect for clearing out a building or a guy in the move after you snuk up on a group. i use the 18 round ones i dont perfer the ones with 80 or 120 or 200 round ones its just wast you wouldnt even need it. uses propane well just like a GBB mag. goodluck with yours.

I love the big count showers... I collect all the BBs from my BB traps and I have about 6 completely full bags of used BBs - GREAT for grenades!

Depends on how..

They are used...

At TTAC3 we use the high count showers in CQB as a prelude to dynamic entry.. Shot into the room and then followed by three shouting and shooting people is pretty effective..

In the field... there has been a number of times when I have wished for a good 168 count grenade.
From concealment at close range... firing that off as the trigger of an ambush..what could be better?

Getting a launcher for my STAR L85A2... not that easy...

Heh heh heh, at a game this past weekend I got a funny, yet very expensive idea for 203's.

You know the M14? That RAS? Well, till now I never could think of a really good use for a RAS on the M14. But just think, a RAS mounted 203 on either side of the rifle! Shit hits the fan, you reach and pull both and watch the 300 round shells fly! ((Or is the biggest 180, can't remember, but if you had a 300 round shell going off... thats 600 rounds of shit ALL over the place!)).

I think avatars are in a general list are they not? I had to look twice to see why you were asking such a question.
