So after a couple of months with this
Action pressure switch (read: piece of crap
), I've had multiple malfunctions with it. Up until now, the problem has been the wires breaking from the contacts in the tail cap, which is solved easily enough by re-soldering them back on. Something that annoyed me was that sometimes, merely twisting the tail cap onto the flashlight would be enough to break contact. The most recent (and last) problem I've had was the wires twisting together within the switch bladder itself. I couldn't solve this one without pretty much tearing the bladder apart, so now I'm looking for a new pressure switch.
I really have no idea about the quality range of these switches; most searches I've done turn up reviews on the lights/lasers and little or nothing about the switches. Can someone recommend a pressure switch for me? Robustness and reliability are high on the list, but I guess 'bang for your buck' value is still top concern (I promised myself to cutback airsoft spending this year after my newbie rush to buy everything last year).
Sorry to add another "wot am best ___" thread to the forums, but I'm pretty much clueless in this department.
*edit: might be important to note, if you didn't pick it up from the linked switch above, my flashlight is a Surefire G2 with an extension (G3 length).
