I think it's primarily the brokerage fees.
Importing Airsoft for canucks is out right prohibited unless he/she can produce the proper documentation for importing, selling, etc.
This document, at this point in time, is near impossible to attain, as for my understanding.
If you succeed in opening a shop, all the power to you. But you could probably do just as well selling parts, and/or being an AEG-smith.

As for places to play. Read around a bit. Like the upcoming games board. There you can have a general idea of where players have games.
It goes from Cambridge to Wasaga, Muskoka to Sudbury.

Hopefully all works out for you.
Cheers!

Going to the states means we have to buy guns over there and leave them there when we leave. One guy last year was trying to set something up with a buyback program so we'd only have to bring our gear but i don't know what ever happened to that.

To make it simple; imagine Canada and the States as being different universes. You cant bring stuff through. The licenses are rare and cost thousands of dollars. You cant visit either country with your own guns.

Honestly, you wont make a living out of this here. The government is turning up the heat lately.

Hello Kevin.

Welcome to Canada Eh!:P

Hope you enjoy your stay in Toronto, best of luck to you in your attempts to open a buisness here. As greylocks mentioned if you don't take the proper steps in setting up, you could be in for trouble.

Gun replicas here are considered prohibited devices and require special licenses if you wish to import them, Ontario also has laws which apply to all airguns; replica or not, such as a legal age for purchase, that age being 18 years old.

I would suggest contacting a Lawyer for help in setting up the legal side of things, it will be expensive but your better safe then sorry. There is also an incredible amount of infomation available on the Canadian airsoft scene on these forums which I'm sure you'll find helpful.

Let me know if your looking for a game in Toronto, my friends and I are always looking for good reserve troops:P

Regards
