"Sniper" vest

I am looking for a little tact vest for the sniping time.
I am not planing on getting a guillie suit and all, just let's say, more of a marksman than a sniper.

I don't want to dump over 300$ in a mole based vest...looking for some cheap premade, not customizble vest.

I found these ones :

http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper...DU-C_cat_Vests (would remove the right shoulder pouch.. better for prone)

http://www.blackhawk.com/product1.asp?P=30VT05

Anyways, you get the point. I had found one on some other website... can't find it back...much like the BlackHawk! one, but cheaper and with a cross-draw hoslter that can be changed for the rifle pouches...

How about an SAAV knock-off? There's one here for sale.... a bit pricey though.

You're probably looking for a Leapers/UTG vest then.

A little less than half way down the page.

nah.

I had one already... I didn't especially liked it.

I don't need any rifle mag pouches on this one, I am planning on getting a APS2 Type 96 and a pistol... maybe Sig P226 again...

This is why I was looking at these vests.

What's wrong with the UTG multi-purpose tactical vest from WarCraft? It's basically the Blackhawk one you linked, except cheaper.

What do you need to carry in it? Any reason an HSGI Sniper Waist Pack won't do the job?

I agree with mad.

I have a sniper waist pack and it has lots o room for everything you need as a DM or a sniper. you can also add pouches to your belt if you need more room. A vest is balls when you are prone, because you dont have access to any of your kit because your laying on it.

I tried to edit my post, because some weird internet problems somehow didn't show your's when I replied.

It actually exacly the vest I was looking for.

As for the fact that I would be prone... I am not planning on going full sniper steath, but more like marksman, you know, long range squad support. And I want a vest because I have a few "booby traps" to carry around. Anyways, thanks for the link.

If your looking for something cheap at least get something that quality made. Like a Eagle chest rig its only $100.

If you play as a sniper and you plan on doing a lot of crawling and being prone a lot, I'd suggest going with an old CF webbing. It's in OD (better than black in the wood). It's more confortable than a vest, carry more stuff and less hot.

The vests you are linkings are unconfortable when they are loaded and you are laying prone. Not to mention, they are black, and black is almost as good a white for forest camoflage.

Bought one a couple months ago, kick ass piece of gear, pretty chest heavy though as far as profile goes (haven't used mine yet, damn winter!) What makes it great is it's fast to put on, easily adjustable and can hold a pile of mags and other small stuff. I plan to add a HSGI Sniper Pack to my loadout, but that chest rig, at least for my use (hunter/DSM/Sniper) is that I use an MP5, so I can literally carry 16 mags in that rig, plus additional ammo and mags for my sniper rifles. It won't get in the weay of a hydration unit or backpack............... meh, very little at all wrong with the set up. Price.............. damn, for a 100% US made peice of webbing for that price? Shit, can't even buy a rig MADE in the US by Blackhawk for that price (because most of their gear is made in Vietnam or elsewhere overseas.)
