Help me decide.

I am new to Airsoft and need some help deciding on what rifle/pistol to get. I'll post my short list here. Also if there are any manufacturers I should avoid, please let me know. I prefer full metal for both. Here's the list:

Classic Army M15A4 CQB
Marui MP5 RAS
G&P M4 CQBR
ICS M4A A1 SOCOM
G&P M4 Special Forces
Classic Army MP5 A3

HFC M190 Special Forces
Tokyo Marui Desert Eagle
KSC Beretta M9 Elite 1A
KSC Cz 75 2nd Version
KJW Full Metal Sig Sauer P226

If you know of a really good place in Canada to buy, please include that info. I realize the age verification needs to be done - I am doing that next week. As usual, any helpful tips are appreciated too.

Thanks.

with such a long list like that, help yourself.

Have fun finding a place that sells guns.

Tips? Research will save you a lot of flaming on these boards.

Big List

Start with the guns you can actually but in Canada, that will shorten that list.

I am fortunate so far as I've found most of these on Canadian websites as a result of considerable research and reading. Is it really that hard to locate somewhere is Canada that has any Airsoft stuff in stock? It seems that there are about 3 or 4 places that sell good quality Airsoft items.(on their websites anyway) Am I wasting my time with this? What are your experiences?

The gun you like the best is the gun to get... They all really work the same as long as you keep to the brand names. The deciding factor is, which gun do you like the best, suits your type of play and fits in with a look you may be going for.

Most stores have shut down and are selling what they have left in stock. I believe A&A still have some AEGs coming in. But most retailers are selling mods and disposables ( batteries, bbs, etc )

You are never waisting your time if this is something you are excited and know that you will like to do...

Some guns like the M4 gives you a chance to add more attachments, than other guns...

I hope you find what you are looking for, you can always look at photos and see what else is out there that may help you decide.

I've shortened the list down for you. you can consider these guns, they are easier to locate in Canada. and these are somewhat the more common guns in the Canadian market.

I'd go for the CA M4-CQB (the seals version looks alot better IMHO), and the KJW 226. Just some FYI; the desert eagle isn't exactly a good cqb pistol. Ever try going up a set of stairs in full gear, rifle slung on back, and keeping balance with the other hand ? The des-eagle isn't so convenient. Anyway... both guns have issues, but what guns don't? meh.. your choice.

Don't knock the good old Desert Eagle, man. Its the first pistol I bought months ago and its my only constant. I find it to be an EXCELLENT over-all pistol. In a CQB environment you have that little extra range over others, and it shoots like a laser. Outdoors its also a valuable back-up. They can take propane right from the box, they have a huge ammo capacity, and they turn heads. Especially the chrome version.

And yes, I have run up a set of stairs in full gear with my trustly Desert Eagle in hand. Have you?

Snyper42, go ahead with a Desert Eagle if it is what turns your crank. Be warned it is HUGE. So if you have small hands it may be an issue. However, that does not stop my girlfriend with her teeny little hands from using it from time to time. The other issue I can into as others did was finding a holster. Most people I know had to modify one to fit it, which isn't hard. Your other option is obscenly expensive real-steel Magnum Research holsters. But hey, if you can get the chrome version it'll be the most liked side arm out there! Be prepared to let fellow airsofters and sometimes field employees fire off a couple rounds.

Was using the MK23 which is just as big, if not bigger. Range is equivalent to my WA 4.3 SVI.. hell, I'd say the SVI is better (despite the small size). But fan-boys will be fan boys.

The Mk.23 is a bit smaller, I'm pretty sure. At least, my buddy's TM NBB seemed to have less to it than my Desert Eagle did. What make of Mk.23 were you using, exactly? Using it as a basis of comparing range with a differant model isn't very fair.

And yes, I am a Desert Eagle fan-boy. I love my chrome beast.

Looks to me likes hes doing that, Greylocks. Do you just check the little thing under his picture, then skip his post and just tell him to get age verified?
