Please help a newbie with gun selection

Hey guys,

Like anyone else just getting interested in airsoft, I find myself agonizing over the decision of what to try out as a first gun. I have decided that my initial investment will be in a handgun, as it's something I can still find useful even if I do shell out the big bucks for a proper rifle one day.

Anyways, as a Canadian I see I'm definately limited by supply and demand, so if anything that helps limit my options.

I see a lot written about the KSC USP and as a newbie who doesn't want to waste money on anything 'cheap', it seems ideal. But what I do need to know is how this compares favorably to the other available handguns. For example, why would I chose the USP over one of the glock varieties or perhaps the Berettas or Colts? Maybe this is an issue of 'personal preference', but what really matters to me is quality, functionality, and reliability.

So here I am asking the experts.

Any input is appreciated.

Since your profile is empty, it's hard to help you out. My suggestion would be to goto a local game and ask some of the people about their guns. The majority of airsofters I know will more than gladly talk about their toys. There are tons of reviews here and you can also check the community link at the top to goto other airsoft pages.

Good luck.

1- Get age-verified.
2- Read the reviews.
3- There are threads about choosing a good gun.
4- Go to games to see (and try) them in person.
5- Buy after all that is done, and you have all the information you need.
