How to upgrade a Star c mag so that it keeps up with feeding in an upgraded gun

I have read reviews on ASC and Arnies and they seem to be pretty mixed. I was hoping that some people on this site might be able to give me some of there personal experience with this mag.

I am actually going to be using it on my CA8-2 which uses G36 mags so I assume that it will fit.

Anyways.... anyone with first hand experience with this mag, please post what you think of it. Thanks in advance.

I had the Mosquito Molds c-mag for my G36, it worked great, never once had a problem with it, except for the fact that when your running from one position to the next it sounds like a marocka shaking and rattleing.

I use one with my CA G36 and it works pretty well. Mind you I've only had it for like 4 months so it's still pretty fresh.

With two fresh double AA batteries my gun will dry fire about once every ~7-10 shots, when the batteries are low it dry fires about once every 5. It's not that big a deal though, I use the gun as a support weapon so I don't notice it very much. My G36 is using an 8.4V battery, I have tried 9.6V batts but the gun fires too fast for the mag to load.

I like the STAR C mag because there's no fuss, no extra wire to push.

So I decided to order one of these Star C mags. I found this review on Filipino airsoft which shows how to upgrade the mag from 2 AA batteries to 4 AA batteries so that the mag can easily keep up with the use of a 9.6 volt battery in my CA8-2.

http://www.filairsoft.com/modules.ph...fa83736352e1e1

I also ordered this off eBay (4 AA battery holder with leads)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...6419&rd=1&rd=1

I will have five extra of these if anyone wants one just let me know. I will post here when I get the mag and let everyone know how it feeds with and without the 4 AA battery upgrade.

Thanks to all for your help!

According to the reviewer on the Filipino site he has fired 25000 rnds without any problems like frying the motor or something.

could just wire the mag to the guns battery. Put contacts on the mag and inside the magwell. High amp 9.6v will run it fine. not to mention, will wind while you fire.
Stalker rigged that up for Apoc.
