Which Flashlight?
Hey everyone i'm having trouble deciding between flashlights. I was just wondering which flashlight you think would look and function better on my KSC Glock 19. Its between the Insight Sub compact X2 light and the STREAMLIGHT TLR-1. If anyone has any experience with the two lights I would really appreciate what you think the pros and cons are about the lights.
There are also some other pictures posted by RacingManiac and Mr Jon. http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=30888 (just scroll down a bit) and http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=31690 Thanks for your help! |

Based on the specs from both lights, the TLR-1 will far outperform the X2 in terms of output; almost double the output if the specs for both lights are exact.
The TLR-1 has a 2.5hr regulated which is damn nice, so no diminishing effect of the light dying out; only steady output. Can't find much information about the X2 however in terms of regulation or runtime; but if it's running only off one of those small CR2s, runtime I'm estimating would be around 1-1.5hrs with it's 40 lumen output. Of course, that's depending on the quality of the batteries itself. One thing odd about the X2 is that it runs off those small 3V CR2 type batteries. They may be slightly harder to acquire than the CR123s which the TLR-1 run off of. But you can most likely find rechargeable kits for both types of batteries. Myself, I would pick up the TLR-1 as it seems to be a far better performer straight up.

I had a TLR-1 !
This tactical light had been design for real steel pistol ! - Very strong light, the light diffusing is realy good. The light is more than enough 80 lumen through led, that give you 2.5Hour. - Very good metal construction. - Very nice feeling - Not too heavy ! - You will love it ! - My old M3 taclight was 80-100 lumen Surefire bulb, had an autonomy of 20-40 minutes ! - Plastic feeling - Had to Re-solder 2 times. - Plastic case had craked with times.
