Just a guess, but part of the reason is planning any kind of game with a level of mil-sim depth to it, can drive a man to tears and then on to insanity. Its a major hassle, and it burns game admins out.
Kudos to Poncho and company for getting the ball rolling, and to other organizers like EAR and MAA and Wolfpack for running their big games as well. (apologies to those teams I've missed, just going off the top of my head). And Poncho, I too am waiting for CT 3 |

You're going to have to hear that from the man himself...Poncho
Skruface, desert or woodland? It was my only OpCT game also. Couldn't get a ride for the first one but I swore I would not miss the second one.

I was at that first game, and it was fantastic even if my health did not allow me to enjoy it more.
Facing a large ennemy group along with Spleen and only another person was quite the bit of stress. |

My squad spent a lot of time near the Desert base harassing patrols, being forward observers, and putting signs up (like "Go home NATO baby killers"). *LOL. When I typed "operation capital thunder 2" in google, my pbase was the first hit! If you do a google image search, you only get my pictures. My pics are still there: http://www.pbase.com/aiofm/opct2 I'm in tiger stripe with the P90, Sundown is in the weird Czech Desert pattern with a FAMAS. There's another full gallery around somewhere.

The first time was in the Marlborough Forest, a bit past North Gower. Poncho had managed to get all the paperwork for it to happen.
