TM M4A1 motor/battery question

I just got my gun upgraded (by a professional) and got a large batteries. The batteries are not lasting as long as they should. My friend with the same upgrades and same battery can shoot for about 4 times as long as me. If i shot on full auto for more than 10 sec my 15amp fuse would blow. My motor seems to be having a hard time turning my gun over and i was wondering if getting a new 8.4v motor will help out my battery life consiterably and mabe give some suggestions as to what would be the best choice.

My battery is a 8.4v 3300MaH Nimh and my motor is the stock EG 1000 motor

Thanks, Jordan

Apart from the fact that I wonder how come you got a gun in the first place since this breaks ALL the rules here...

If you want us to diagnose a problem, you will have to tell us exactly WHAT was upgraded. What spring is in there, what else was done. If you got a heavyer spring and the fuse remained the same, then the 'pro' did not do a good job.

If your batteries are not charged/discharged properly, with a decent charger, you will have other problems.

If the mechbox was not tuned properly after the upgrades, it will cause friction and a loss in efficiency along with blown fuses.

If you suddenly increased the effort of the motor and of the electrical system on the original fuse, of course it will blow.

So tell us more, and I like many would love to know who sold you an AEG.

FYI, there is a place in/near Saskatoon that sells AEGS. I've been there myself. They sell TM, CA, and ICS. Prices are insane, and they don't give a rap about who they sell to.

I could have bought one, but I don't really like breaking rules all that often. I didn't buy one, but many more kids have. All the kiddies turning up saying that they bought an AGE and need help upgrading it are getting it from places like this. You were looking for the hole in the system, here it is.

PM'ed

EDIT: I will not post the name or address of the place here, as some minors will just see it as a way to get an AEG. Curious Age Verified members can PM me for details.

I upgraded my spring to a PDI 150, this upgrade kit http://www.ascarmoury.com/product_in...roducts_id=340 system A spring guide (ball bearing), bushings and shims, all version 2. Im now using 20 amp fuses and none have broken yet but my battery isnt lasting nearly as long as it should. I was just wondering if a new motor would increse the life of my battery

New motor wont matter, nothing wrong with the EG1000. The battery wont last as long because you are forcing it to work much harder (150% or more harder than the stock form...). The PDI 150 has a really bad reputation lately, so your gun may be unsafe.

Another reason would be for your gun to have been reassembled improperly.

If you have a crappy battery charger instead of a good one, invest in that instead.

Please follow ALL the laws involved in this sport and be 100% clear that your parents know about what THEY have to do to cover themselves. It's simple; they keep the gun, not you. And one of them Must supervise you when you use it at an approved field.

I took the gun to the gunsmith few hours ago, he called and told me my mechbox is cracked. He said with a heavy upgrade like this it was bound to happen eventually but he didnt think it would happen so soon. However I was planning on getting one.

Thanks, Jordan
