In Great Need of Help *pics*

I have gone and done it now....

I picked up a Glock19 with metal slide and I think I just destroyed the thing.

I looked for problems that have already been posted regarding this and did not find any, so please don't step on my face if there is already a thread on this.

I was shooting it as I have done many times without problems. Just shooting cardboard in my garage and when I fired the last shot in the mag, this happened:

The slide is stuck in this position and will not move. As you can see the barrel is sticking out the front and I basically have no clue in hell how this happened or what to do.

I ask:

Does anybody know what in God's name I can do to fix this?
Does anybody live in the Guelph area that can fix this for me? I will pay whatever you ask (reasonably).
I'm brand new to this game and wish I had at least a bit of knowledge.

The recoil rod may be jammed against the barrel. Try fiddling with it to see if you can jar something loose. This has happened on my G17 occasionally but it simply resulted in a locked slide rather than the situation pictured above. One solution was to turn the gun over and bang the top of the slide against your palm. Try that too.

After fiddling around with it for 20 minutes I managed to get it loose using the "technique" you suggested Gryphon.

Although I slammed it against my palm so hard that I think I have a broken bone in my hand. But I guess pain lets you know your still alive right?

Thanks alot.

Good old percussive maintenance. Who needs fancy tools? Just get a rock....

Now where's that pic of Poncho...?

My old G18c metal slide with xtn mag used to do that too. I'd TAP the serial numbers plate against my left forarm(tactically) the slide would jostle the recoil and barrel would usually retun and commence fire again. If not tap harder.
