TLP 15 Battery Charger Instructions

I just received the TLP 15 battery charger I bought from WGC, and being farely new to AEG's I'd like to know if anyone can give me a tutorial on this charger; the best way to charge my batteries, things to be cautious of, etc.

plug your battery in, select your mah rateing (voltage is automatically determined) it will beeb and flash a green light every 10 seconds. thats slow charge (says slow under the light) push the button ONCE and it will beeb and go to fast charge the light will flash quickly but will not beep.
push the button again and it will switch over to discharge. this process discharges your battery, switches over to slow for a base charge, then automatically switches to fast charge, then when finished it will start beeping again. a good trick is to push it to fast charge another 2 times as i find these chargers peak really easy.

note that it is common practice to replace the fan on these as over time (varies from a week to a year) the fan craps out and overheats the board and wrecks the charger. you can be cheep and not replace it, but you will find that the fan wont come one and you need to stick a pen in it and nudge the fan blade for it to start.

Thanks, good to know about the fan. I have an 8.4V 600mAh battery and a 10.8V 1500mAh battery, how do I select the mAh rating? Also, if anyone can explain base charge, peak, and fuzzy logic to me, I would greatly appreciate it.

the yellow "dial" on the left. you rotate it to the mah number corresponding to your battery. make sure you do this. if yuou leave it at 600mah and your charging a 3000mah battery, youll be waiting a while. but whats really important is if your chargeing a 600mah battery at 3000mah, on many other chargers this would over charge and potentially fry your battery. HOWEVER on the tlp, you have fuzzy logic, which monitors the mah feedback from your battery, preventing it from overchargeing. so when the battery reaches its peak (3000mah/3000mah) the charger cuts out. but the thing with that is as your battery charges it heats up, when it heats up it registers incorrect mah so it peaks early. thats why i reccommend to push it to fast charge another 2 times to ensure you get as much mah in your battery as possible.

about the base charge, its just a solid "base" or "foundation" charge that initializes the charge inside the battery. you only need to do this every 6 months (deep cycle the battery - fully discharge, base charge and fully charge), otherwise you just discharge untill your gun doesnt fire, then fast charge.
fast charging is bettery on your battery as it charges it quicker preventing it from heating up and cooking the batterys over long periods of time. when you slow charge the battery heats up and stays heated longer which damages the batteries.
