IDing an NBB Sidearm
Alright, this is after a bit of fruitless research that I'm turning to the ASC community for help in identifying a new NBB pistol I got today.
I bought this from Shane (sorry, forgotten your username :banghead: ) at the GMAC earlier today. It had some issues he said, like the slide release lever not staying in. Well, I figured at $60 I could not go too wrong and ran as fast as I could to the nearest cash machine. Anyway, I either neglected to ask what the maker was, or Shane did not know. I'm a little fuzzy. Searching the products pages of WGC and Redwolf yeilded nothing. I know that it is chome finish, non-blowback model of a Smith and Wesson 6904. The only trades are 'CS P8008' underneath the slide release, and 'Mod 6904' in a small oval under that. On top of the chamber exposed it reads '9mm parabellum'. Other than that, I can only say that it feels like full metal judging from the weight. The slide is not only non-blowback but seems to be either seized or totally immobile. By the way, it works just about perfectly. |

Looks like the one. Thanks for the prompt help all.
Now one other thing; how useful is this as a sidearm? Should I even bother getting a holster or keep it as a showpiece? |

well, its got no hop
and its limited to a fairly heavy double action only; you can't cock the hammer back for TM MK23-like pull it has a one way fill valve so its kind of iffy filling it with green and it doesnt like being over-filled with duster it does however, crank out ~100 shots on one mag fill.. I guess if by sidearm you are going to be engaging within 50 feet, you cant really go wrong |

Actaully, I'm able to cock the hammer for single action. My friend has the TM NBB Mk.23 and I find the trigger pull to be much less on this model.
Would this NBB take propane better than green? It was mentioned that filling with green was 'iffy'.... I'm sorry if I seem to be begging to be spoon fed but I can't seem to find any reviews on this one.... |

really? weird! mine wouldnt let me cock the hammer back without acting all wonky when the trigger was pulled green is a higher pressure and "equalizes" with the magazine faster, so not as much liquid is transferred |

Hell, I use a $25 Taiwan springer in the winter time. Got plenty of kills with it... you should be ok with what you got.

Thanks again, guys. Looks like I'm done here unless anyone wants to discuss my new toy further.
