Gas for WE 1911 full metal
hi, ive heard many things, on what kind of gas to use on the WE 1911. first, it says that i should use top gas or hfc134a. but, ive heard of people using red. so, which is it, i dont wanna damage my gone cause of something like this.

Plastic slide = hfc134a
Metal slide = propane totally custom gun in winter = maybe redgas

so, since its got a metal slide, i should use propane? thx. o ya, and isnt top gas also propane? o ya, i live in a desert, and dry region (New Mexico), and its completely stock, so propane is the best bet?

I think so, there's somethings that you should double check, but it should be ok, from what I've read.

If you live in a hot area, you may do just fine with hfc134a. Green gas or propane may give a power level that is too high.

o thanks. o ya, by hot i mean like 60 degrees most of the time, and like 40 when its cold.

We get -40, so there's no comparison. Start with the lower powered gas, then work your way up. If duster gas works well in your climate, use it. Less wear and tear on the gun over time.
When it gets really colder (40) use Green/Propane. That is another reason why putting your location in your profile makes a difference in the answers you will get. If we tell you to use Green Gas/Propane when it gets cold because we think you live here, it's one thing. But if snow is something you only read about, the same advice can cause you major problems.
