Calling all VFC AKS74SUN owners: bolt cover mechanism fix
VFC has issued a "service pack" for their AKS74UN AEG.
While the VFC AKS74UN is otherwise a beautifully built AEG, the bolt cover disjoint problem is a big letdown. For all the wood and steel construction, it's pretty lame that the cover slops around as much as it does. WGC has informed me that VFC has issued retrofit parts to fix their AEGs. I have ordered parts for my own VFC AKS AEGs for my customers, but I think I may be able to acquire more retrofit kits for other owners of VFC AKS AEGs out there. Post here if you have an early release VFC AKS with sloppy bolt cover and I'll see if I can bring in some fix kits for you. VFC is not charging for the replacement parts, but they are not paying for shipping costs. I will have to charge some fee to cover my shipping expenses from HK and from me to you, but I think they'd be in the range of $15 total depending on where you are in Canada.

I got mine about a week ago...
Hop up fix is great, the bolt fix needed some fitting but is pretty easy to install. VFC has a great customer service rep, who normally responds to e-mails within minutes! And apperently used to live in Toronto Glad ASC is stocking them! PS the only problem with mine was Canada Post - they "misplaced" the envelope at their Vancouver warehouse for almost two weeks.
