I believe the FPS is somewhere around 260-280.

Before you decide to buy anything, read up on the age-verification procedures.
Then go see what folks really use. It will help you choose without wasting your money. |

Get age verified and buy a real airsoft, thats what most people will say.
If your still under 18 by a few months like me, start saving money, and if you must, go ahead and buy it. I resorted to using Firepower until i get age verified, and its not bad... the accuracy sucks on most of them, and the sights are hard to adjust if you can. dont expect to be going after hardcore guys with this stuff, although i find their tac gear good quality for the price. |

So are you saying you bought an airsoft gun, even a cheap one, before you got age-verified?

I have not been age verified, but i also did not buy off ASCA or any other website... I bought in person, and actually had my parents purchase them. I had to prove I was responsible enough to handle it. They trust me enough to handle it seriously, and with the help of this very website and the readings of noob-bashing, I learnt. Not to mention that I dont own any CA or TM, they are all firepower, which is why i thought in this thread i could help. I am trying to set a good example to my friends that also airsoft by being responsible and that we adhere to the law and rules standard to this website.
We shoot on private property far away from anyone, wearing safety gear. I try to be the good newbie. |

It's nice that you made an effort, but dont expect other under-age people to have the same ethics.

Ya no kidding... I just think its better because i live in such a rural/farmland area. I get pissed when my friends in the city talk about airsofting within city limits... worse off shooting birds and cats and stuff.
It does give me satisfaction in completely pwning them in games and stuff cuz they never verse people that can shoot back. Thanks for your support, its not easy being under-aged and involved in this sport. As for the M4--- Its not bad, i took a gander at one. The barrel is a little shakey right before the receiver, so dont put too much stress on it, because of the plastic bodies, or then youll end up shooting sideways. |

I'm not supporting you at all. The 18+ should apply to everyone equally and you have gone around that rule. That is not a good thing.
What I'm also saying is that you should not give any ideas to anyone. You got away with it, allright, cant change that. Others should not do what you did, no matter where you live. Your parents were uninformed unless they watch you at all times when you use the equipment that legally belongs to them. |

ok, good point, i give that one to you. True this is bending the rules. But for the record, my dad actually does enjoy watching our games, and even participated in a few. Im just saying that its better than the 14 year old kids playing airsoft with crosman guns in the middle of kildonan park on a saturday in august with no eye protection.
And this has completely gone off point of the thread |
