NVG ???s
Hey I've got a pair of GSCI Uni-BG1s, does anyone know where i can buy parts, or have these fixed. There is no one in Alberta in the phone book that I haven't called. I have searched the weeb and gotten no where. One of the monicals is broken and I need it replaced.. I could use a GSCI Uni-MG1 (the monical version).
here's a link of what they look like... http://www.epinions.com/elec-Optics-...ay_~full_specs PS I'd love to be able to get age verified |

Have you tried emailing the manufacter with questioning as to where to get them serviced or where you'd be able to purchase a replacement part?
That is the first thing I'd do. Go right to the source. |

the manufacturer is in toronto, I have contacted them but they have no parts for this model anymore. they have stated I can send it to them and they ''may'' be able to get it working.
I have tried ebay as well. I was hoping someone here has a set that is screw or knows a repair depot. |

I had a good laugh when I read that page. A resolution of 50 lp/mm in a first generation device, LOL sure.
You might want to try contacting Newcon Optik, they advertise several tubes that they claim will retrofit into many existing units. Might be worth a shot. |

Thanks for the link Gryphon I appreciate it. Question: Are those really NVGs or just some binoculars with a flashlite taped to them? Answer: is that really a head on your shoulders or just a bag of stupid? :smack: PS CAN SOME ONE AGE VERIFY ME? |

Gryphon you saved my NVG's with your link Newcon will rebuild my light tubes for way cheaper then a new set. So many times you have to wade thru shit to get a half assed answer on airsoft forums. You had info in minutes thanks man. Plus on the resolution I found this which educated me.... I hate companies that publish bs technicals on a product. "Resolution: Measured in line pairs per millimeter (lp/mm), this is the clarity or quality of the image seen on the screen. The higher the number, the better the image quality is. However, buyer beware, these numbers are often inflated by some companies because it is impossible for the average customer to test this parameter without special, very expensive equipment available only at factories." copied from Newcon's site HELP I NEED TO BE VERIFIED |

You need to see in person an age verifier for him to add you to his list. No one can be verified without doing this. NO EXCEPTION. If you have already seen an age verifier and he has your info, I think Lisa is still having problems with her computer. All you can do is wait till she adds you to the list of verified members. Please be patience.

No thats cool, You can go to virtually any "optics" retailer or hunting store and you can buy them over the counter no problem. You have to do a little searching to find mil spec stuff or really anything head mounted. But I know most of the surplus stores in calgary sell NVGs and you can buy NVGs off of eBay. Don't be fooled though, they aren't cheap. The model I have sells for around $800
