KSC G18C on green gas?
Hi, I’ve been reading through all the forums for a while but I'm still a bit confused... I have a KSC G18C with all stock parts. So far I have been using green gas with no problems. I've heard mixed opinions about what gas to use... can anybody tell me? By using green gas am I damaging anything?
Thanks... |

I've been using propane in my KSC glock 34 for the last two years, and I've only had to replace a couple of internal parts. As for a 18C that might be a bit different as it has the full auto feature which might be harder on the internals. I just ordered the metal slide kit and better return spring for my 18c just in case, ASC Armoury has the best price on them.

It's fine to run on green gas for a while until the plastic slide snaps.

Buy a metal slide and an enhanced recoil spring.

Seems odd, every other person with a 18c says they've broken 5+ stock internals.
Somone must be lying. |

plastic slides used with propane break sooner or later because plastic is a more flimsy and weaker material than metal...adding to that the slide of a G18C's has cutouts on the top of the slide making the plastic slide even weaker.
Mixing gases is always a mystery, because of different pressure levels it might not mix. G18c/17 are known to commonly break these internals, part 10 "loading ramp" and a recoil rod. |

I've been using propane in mine for the past couple months as I plan on upgrading when the plastic slide breaks. So far I've only broken the rocket valve but that's a recommended upgrade when using Green or propane anyway.
