Left handed guns?
I'm looking to buy my first sidearm and wanted to ask left handed players out there what gun or guns work well for left handed people like my self? I've read some reviews on a few models but still not sure and would like input on this.
Thanx! |

There are several guns with ambidextrous safeties and at least one I've seen (forgot which one exactly) that had a mag release that could be swapped which side its on. Lefthanded guns in real steel are quite expensive because they are made in such low numbers, if you can find an airsoft lefthanded gun I can imagine it would be a lot more expensive than a normal gun.
It will be hard to find a gun with the slide release or mag release on the proper side of a lefthanded person but Beretta's and Hi-Capa's/1911's often have ambidextrous safeties. |

well you can't change the mag release or slide release on glocks but they work quite well left handed. My wife shoots lefty she feels the easiest to use is the glock. But if you want the actually pieces on the right side then I would also say Beretta or 1911 maybe a usp not sure on the airsoft ones but real ones can do both.

Thanx for the replys guys!
I was looking at a TM SIG P226, from the reviews I've read they say it works for leftys, any of you own one can tell me how it feels in the left hand? Other wise I'll look at a Beretta or a Hi-Capa. Thank you! |

I'm a righty but the TM P226 doesn't feel too bad in the left hand. I don't believe that the mag release, decocker, slide release...can be switched over to the right side of the gun, and it bothers me that i can feel the mag release under my finger when i'm holding the sig w/ my left hand.
The grips are slightly contoured for the right-handed shooter, but like I said before, feels pretty good in the left hand other than the fact that i can feel the mag release under my finger. I think that the beretta/hi-capa would be a bit better for leftys |

Nope. KSC USPs are NOT ambidexterous(in terms of the safety), nor can they be modified to be. However, the mad release IS ambi. |

Yah the Desert Eagle is good for lefties in my opinion. Safety is ambidexterous and the mag release and slide lock is easy to press with your index finger. It may actually be easier to press those for a lefty because if you have small hands using right your thumb might not reach both of them. I shoot right but sometimes i switch to left and it works quite well. But a desert eagle may also be too big and heavy for some people.
