question about eye protection

I have a question about eye protection.
I was going through the on-line catalog for "wheelers accessories" at www.cpgear.com and came across these protective sunglasses:

Ice 2.4 Eyeshield

Code: 1071
The Interchangeable Component Eyeshield is a lightweight and "frameless" eye protection system that offers a unique combination of impact resistance, unrestricted views, and interchangeable lenses for effective eye protection in any light condition.

Price: $55.00 CDN

I seem to recall that someone had said that these are acceptable as eye protection for airsoft and paint ball.
I don't know about the paint ball thing, but want to know about airsoft.
I have seen 2 people wearing this kind of eye protection at airsoft games and so just had to ask if this is acceptable ?

Is it safe to wear for airsoft? Yes, BUT, some fields require full face mask for insurance reasons.

For paintball? Donno, don't play that there game.

I'm sure no paintball field would allow Protective glasses. Full face is a must in paintballing. YOU don't even want to reduce the protectiveness of your eyewear for better field of view. It's not only about impact but also a question of not getting any high velocity shell fragments onto your eyeball. And I know paint from paintball burns a lot in the eye area.

As for airsoft, many people uses glasses instead of googles or full face. I have Bolle X800 goggles and I'm looking for a pair of glasses. I find those very interesting at that price! If I ever go to a field that does not allow these kind of eye protection, I'll have my X800 in back up.

yes, I quit agree where paintball is concerned, use to do it, but would never go out without full face goggles, but airsoft is diffrent, it's coolness personafied, :smack: ok, it's just really cool comparred to paintball.
the eyewear that I have heard about is CF issue, and thinking about that, should have asked if these are the same as the CF issue ?
