Holster Question

I believe it goes around the pistol grip. It's just an extra retention strap to hold the pistol in.

yep, thats what it looks like, pull it up and slide it over the pistol grip, just looks like it adds more safety so your gun doesnt fall out

It doesn't seem to provide much (if any) extra retention...
Perhaps it works better with another model pistol. Thanks for the responses, at least now I know what it's supposed to be used for.

That extra piece of leather wrap there, you can use it to adjust how tight the tension, tie a knot above the leather wrap after you find the tension you want.

put a twist in the cord so that it crosses under the grip of your pistol and fasten the valco to the strap above the slide. This can also be resised by pulling the other end of the strap under the holster and to the other side. This is all supposed to help keep the retention strap tucked tight in the groove between the grip and the slide.
As far as I can tell/know :P
