NO MORE TETRAFLUOREOTHANE. God damnit. I checked atleast 7 places today after getting my adapter from ILLusion (sorry, forgot to tip you). Has Tetra become illegal? What the HELL is the deal with this. Ack, I wanted to shoot my M9 tonight...

Check the computer places near college and spadina if you haven't already. I got mine from there a month ago. I think they are trying to phase it out in favour of diflourothane because kids were huffing the stuff (tetra).

The gas I have works perfect for all guns which run on duster. Tetra 134A does not smell and is a safe chemical sprayen indoors.

I think the huffing might be a side issue. Difluoroethane is a fair bit cheaper than tetra so suppliers are switching to it as a cost reduction measure.

Refrigeration industry still depends on HFC134a for automobiles as they cannot use flammable HFC152a (difluoroethane) so the various industries are picking their favourite fluorocarbons.

Aaah, I got a few cans of the stuff at a local computer store. It's definitely not HFC134a.

It's uber flammable. Burns just like butane. Makes one think...

this isn't exactly convenient, but HVAC technicians have tanks of 134a. It's very commonly used as a refrigerant.

they wouldn't be handing it out. Intentional release of HFC134a packaged as a refrigerant is a federal offence. There are all sorts of funny context laws which prohibit activities from certain people but not all. My guess is that refrigerant techies deal with much bigger quantities than what occurs on the consumer level.

Canadian Tire here still have Fellowes duster all the time.

It was on sale a couple of weeks ago, actually...

Computer stores do sometimes have HFC134a but as someone said most are dropping it in favour of either HFC152 or regular difluoroethane as a cost cutting measure. Here is Winnipeg one of the local electronic component stores (Tip Top Electronics) sells the MG Chemicals 16oz. cans for $12.50 and a few of the Zellers stores (go figure) carry some brand (Kensington?) of the 12oz. cans for ~$10. I'm sure there's a Zellers available to most so go grab some while you can.
