Sgt Bilko's becomes ARMY OUTFITTERS

Just checked out Army Outfitters, the new store owned by the same Proprietor of the now moved SGT BILKO's surplus.

It is located at 1695 Avenue Road North of Lawrence, just south of the large Blockbuster Video Store (and the LCBO).

This storefront location (which has no sign yet... Dave (the owner) happend to see me wandering around looking for his location and flagged me down..) is much smaller than the previous location on Bridgeland Dr.
Don't let the store's size fool you! the store still has an excellent selection of premium quality surplus, including current and recent issue UK, US and Canadian clothing and gear.

There is new stuff arriving all the time.. a shipment of UK DPM including Arid pattern DPM ripstop smocks and some DPM gortex is on the way according to Dave.
I picked up a pair of US issue Arid Boots for a "I'm Cuttin my own throat!!" price

Check out the new store... and have a nice lunch at one of the many cafe's nearby.

(I don't work for Dave... I just like his store!!)

More stuff

Dropped by Army outfitters on the weekend.

He had a nice set of Russian Interior , or Police ( not sure which) Urban Camo (looked like their version of woodland, in greys and blues) top bottoms and a vest to match , vest is set up for shotgun and pistol mags. has a right cross draw holster for a small frame pistol. would fit a 44 chest, and 36 waist ( I'm a 48 chest, 38 waist... so thats why its not mine.. or it would be)

Also coming in Issue Marpat, New not surplus. pants, shirts, hats, also coming, Issue ACU ,

and the long awaited container from GB with DPM arid and woodland complete sets, pants, shirts, smocks, and GORTEX sets is clearing customs.

Oh.. and for you VN geeks.. he has a few, new never issued US 1969 vintage ripstop olive 4 pocket combat shirts in large short only.. I saw the NATO stock number.. these shirts are legit.

Check it out.

Ya! That really pissed me off! I searched all over the GTA for these shirts. Got fed up and ordered from the States. Now I'm tripping over the bloody things.

Dave is a good guy and willing to haggle. If you do go to his store...bring a cheeseburger or small child for his dog.
