question on new ak hi cap.

Hey, a friend of mine just bought an AK 600rd HICAP and for some reason we're having a hell of a time opening the top to pour bbs into. Every other hicap i've ever used for any gun simply just pops open. I should be able to just pop this one open right? or am i missing something here? Lemme know if it would be better to see a picture of it.. thanks.

TM AK hicap or another brand name ?
TM AK high cap has a very tight BB loading entrance door, you need to pop it open with a bit of force (but be careful) for the very first time. After that it will eventually get 'broken in'. Or alternatively you open it and sand the edges of the door down with hobby sanding film to make it a lose fit.

I found that it's easy to open the hicap if you pull it open from the left and right sides.

If you grip your thumb and index finger on the sides, you should be able to just pull up and it'll pop open.

ahh ya its TM.. and sure enough with a little more force with a thin peice of metal and it opened. I just wasn't sure at first if it was just jammed something. Now after opening/closing a few times i am able to open it with the sides. Thanks guys. Cheers.

Yeah, for the brand new ones, its hard to open at first. After that after it becomes broken in is easy. Be very careful for the first time opening it though, I gashed myself the first time.
