S.I.R & Battery Thoughts?
ok here we go
I recently bought back a TM M4S System I used to own (more for the rail / battery capability SIR) because I am attaching a Magpul M93b Carbine Stock and thought it would look sweet. When I owned the gun I remember running a mini battery for all of ONE game before switching to a PEQ bat box. I was going to run the same config again - but recently read you could fit a larger battery in the SIR. So I looked in to it and this is all I could come up with: http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper...IS%20and%20RAS and it says " Suitable for SYO-96-1100A5 battery" which is: http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper...6V%20Batteries 9.6v 1100mAh Ni-Cd So I guess my question is a.) Is the ICS SIR any larger then the TM version allowing for that larger battery? b.) Do any SIR owners run the 9.6v 1100mAh Ni-Cd (and if so were any modifications done) Unrelated: c.) Has anyone attached an SIR to a G&P M4 metal body if so what brand of SIR. Thanks in advance for sharing your thoguhts... Oz |

Unfortunately, I can't answer any of your specific questions, but I can tell you that you can get a much more powerful battery into the same size as the 1100mAh one. www.cheapbatterypacks.com can build you a 2500mAh pack in the same configuration; if the 1100mAh one will fit, the 2500mAh one will as well.
