P226 doublefeeding = loading nozzle shredding

I just got a KJW p226 It seems that keeps having problems with loading nozzle. Every 1 in 5 mags I would encounter a bb double feed causing jams. I would have to rack the slide again or if it went through it would fire two bbs (or shattering) This would eventually lead to the snapping of the tab in the loading nozzle rendering any future feeding nonexistent. I replaced the loading nozzle and after a couple mags i encountered the same problem again - another destroyed loading nozzle. Is there something I'm missing here because I don't want to have to keep buying loading nozzles as I already went through 2. (a guarder reinforced and a stock one)

Is it probably that my gun is just a lemon or a lack of lubrication if so where do I need to take care of this? I am using high quality BB's KSC's Inertia's and Airsoft Elites so i doubt those are the cause. :???:

Another note is that sometimes the BB would shatter after firing causing fragmentation to the left and right.

I'd say that you definately have a problem with your loading nozzle

It's most likely that your loading nozzle is physically slamming into the bb, which is never good. there should only be enough force in it to load the chamber, IMO there shouldn't be enough force in it to cause any serious damage, since it's only going to feed as fast as the slide mechanism on your pistol goes forward.

Your recoil spring may be too stiff, causing too much pressure to be exerted on the loading cycle.

I suspect that you have a mag which has a damaged retention lip. What brand of pellets are you using? If your pellets are breaking, I suspect that loose pellet fragments are causing the damage to your nozzle.

are you replacing the loading nozzle with the TM one? or an upgraded Guarder nozzle?

I had the same problem, my nozzle broke off from a jam. unfortunatly, I wasnt the one using the pistol when it happened, and the person using it just kept pulling the trigger...

Anyways, I put in a guarder loading nozzle, which is more durable than the TM one, and havnt had any serious issues since. at least, no nozzle-shattering issues.

figured out the solution. It turns out the gun was a lemon adn no matter what I did to it it wouldn't work. But other news is that another p226 that I owned had the same problem. I simply replaced the recoil spring with a guarder one and voila problem solved. The guarder loading nozzle only reinforced the gun so it's now covered in both places. Hope this helps with everyone.

Same problem different gun

Hi, I'm reviving this thread since it's got to do with the same problem I'm having with my KJW P226, except that the problem's worse with triple feed sometimes and occurs on every other shot.

I refuse to think that my piece is a lemon like Downtown-1, and I've given it a visual inspection that doesn't show any crack or broken parts. Help, anyone?

Maybe I should add that the BBs feed "lips" are kinda flimsy and has too much flex. Sometimes the BBs just burst out when I'm loading the mag, especially when it's almost full (23 BBs). Anyone with same problem?

I forgot to mention that the double/triple feed occurs at the nozzle only and the BBs just jam up the slide, preventing it from returning to its position after recoil. So it's not really a case of 2 or 3 BBs being fired all at once, rather, it just clogs up at the magazine lips-nozzle area. Help?

I've got a friend who has the same KJW P226 and same problems too. I've got a theory that it is the recoil spring that is too hard so it's slamming the nozzle onto the loading lip or maybe the magazine spring is too hard and so it's pushing the BBs up too fast. Doesn't seem to be so bad if I load only a few BBs at a time. It could also be a combination of these things. I guess this wouldn't have been a problem if the retention lip on the mag was not made out of flexible plastic! So far I've been using Propane, if anyone with the same problem can test it out with HFC134a and let me know the results I'd appreciate it.

when I was working on mine, I put in an upgraded recoil spring and never had any issues (after putting in the guarder loading nozzle), so that indirectly proves that the recoil spring isnt the issue.

Yeah, the soft plastic sounds like a problem. If the lips are too loose/flimsy, I would expect that BB's are flying out with little or no effort. You even said yourself. The feed lips are the problem.

No, I didn't say that the lips are "the" problem. I meant that because it is soft and flimsy, it just adds to the problem. If it is truly just the lip problem, then all the KJW P226 will have the same problem since the quality of the plastic does not vary from one to the other. That's why I'm thinking of a combination of things. Maybe not the recoil spring as Zekk05 said, but the magazine spring then. What if I take off a few inches from it to soften the tension?

For the record, I tried firing it again after leaving some BBs in the mag for over 1 month. The result was good for the first 4 shots, and then it jammed again
