Classic Army M15A4 Carbine
Anyone who has had experience with the CA M15A4 Carbine or the CA 36C gun...How is it? do you recommend it?
I am thinking of getting an AEG, and I want to make sure I get the best one for my money. The M15A4 CBQ is pretty nice, but its a hundred u.s dollars more expensive. Everything about the CA M15A4 looks appealing to me, except I dont know if I could put one of those grips that go on the ris on the front becuase it doesnt appear to have any rails.....just thinking out loud So had anyone had experience with this gun? |

You can always modify the CA M15A4 Carbine to a RIS. But if you dont wanna modify your gun yourself, check out the retailers list and check out A&A Airsoft; they got a CA M15A4 RIS. enjoy!
EDIT: wow i just noticed you live in cali :smack:. just google it and type in CA M15A4 RIS...and voila, you got ur RIS version  |

I can tell you first hand that the m15a4 CQB is a beast. I love it! the ROF with 9.6v of electricity is freakin crazy. I mean you have to see it to believe it. The quality of the metal body is excellent. There is nothing bad about it (aside from the crane stock in my opinion).
It comes preupgraded to 360 fps with quality internals... you cant ask for more. I am truely a CA convert and will not buy any other aeg from now on unless another manufacturer steps up with another better or unique gun. So in my opinion go for the CA guns you wont regret it. The quality of the newer versions have increased tremendously from the past. It is rare to get a lemon now that CA has improved the quality and engineering of there AEGs. |

I got a M15A4 Carbine, excellent gun, never given me any problems. And the build is excellent, CA used to be known for flakey guns, but they got their acts together now and pumping out quality airsoft.

Ive heard alot about the CA SPC. I dont know if you've came upon that gun yet but it is going to be my next purchase. Nothing but excellent reviews about this gun. You should check it out if your looking for a CA with a ris unit. There are vast reviews for this unit, sorry Im to lazy to get one for you but you should consider this rifle.

the RIS version from precisionairsoft sounds good to me because its a good price and comes with a good battery, but different sites say dirrerent things about the fps |

I too have been see-sawing between a CA G-36C and the CA M15A4 CQB.
I am really starting to lean towards the CQB, but have had a hard time finding any 6.03 precision barrels for it so far. The CA site seems to have a precision barrel for the G36C. Anyone here have experience with the CQB fitted with a precision barreled CQB? My gut tells me that the CQB would be slightly more accurate, due to the longer barrel (280mm vs 247mm) and adjustable crane stock for optimal firing comfort at range. |

The stock barrel is pretty restrictive.
I put a CA High Precision 6.04 300mm (M1A1 length) in my M15A5 CQB last weekend and the fps went from 290-300 to 330-ish ... with no other mods... If you really want to pay double for a 6.03 you'll need a MC51 length barrel (285mm) from Prometheus. You might want to note Stokes' M15A5 CQB shoots around 330-340 (lucky bastard!) with no internal upgrades, and i've heard some reports as high as 360fps stock... so CA needs to improve their QC. All Marui AEG's pretty much shoot the same out of the box. Overall though the CQB is a well built gun, which is refelcted in it's high price, and would be perfect for indoors with just an inner barrel upgrade. |
