STAR M249 Feed Trail Cover Rail?
Basically this
I am thinking about just attaching a rail piece on top of my stock STAR 249 feed tray, but I have a few problems 1. What are the lengths/dimensions of the rail as found on other railed m249 trays? 2. Where can I get such a rail? 3. Does anyone have advice on installing the rail? Thanks |

PM Hortons Heros heys the guy that had a rail on top of his tommy. He might be able to help you to mount the rail.

I read the whole thread on Arnies and basicly what most people did is mount a G36 side rail on top of their M249. The other option is to take the measurement and have the rail machined by someone like I did.
As for advices on the installation, use a thin metal sheet to cover the whole bottom part of the feed cover so you don't put too much stress on specific spots of the plastic part. Anyway as Primus said you should take the time to go through the whole Arnie's thread it was pretty useful to me.
