Kepp BB's Inside of Mag

Is it a good thing to keep the BB's instide of the mag all the time.. like leave it for a couple of days without being used?

its not good for the mag in long periods of time. It doesn't make the spring..as springy any more. Causing it to stop with like 5 BB's still int the mag.

When this happens the only way to fix it is to take apart the mag and stretch the spring out, which is only a temporary fix as it will get screwed again.

No. And the same applies to real guns.

I load all my mags either the night before or two nights before, then later on after the game or the next day empty all of them.

The main issue is whether the manufacturer used a good quality spring steel or not. Decent springs won't take a set from compression, they only wear out from being cycled. People have found real mags from World War One fully loaded and the spring still fed perfectly some eighty years later. However I definitely have seen springs in airsoft mags not perform correctly which lends credence to the belief the spring material used is inferior.

I would trust TM mags to stay loaded for a good deal of time. Other manufacturers whose main interest is low price I wouldn't be so sure about. Regardless, leaving your mag loaded for a few days or even a few weeks (heck, probably even a few months) is not going to hurt it.

I noticed on the clip my hi-capa 4.3 that the spring tension directly affects the slide lock mechanism. Brand new, the spring had enough tension to push the actual slide catch upwards. After having the mag loaded for a few days (for no reason), the spring no longer carried enough strength to push the slide lock upwards, thus rendering the catch mechanism inoperable.

Bottom line: don't leave the spring compressed when not required :salute:

I empty mine at people

btw, its a good idea to fire your gun on semi a few times after your done playing to decompress the spring so it doesnt weaken between usage.
oh, and incase your wondering, in gas guns, leave gas in them or the seals will go on you.
