KWA Glock question
I just purchased a KWA Glock 19 off a friend of mine. It needs some work but is in fairly good shape. This is my first GBB and i was wondering how the bloddy hell i get the slide off. My friend showed me a while ago but i can't remember how and i can't get in touch with him about it. Please help!

First make sure that the mag is out, and the trigger is not ready to fire. Then pull down on the catch above the trigger, it should slide right off forward.

If it's anything like the 18 (which I think it is)
there are two sliders on either side of the lower frame. Eject the magazine (or it wont come off). Pull down both sliders with one hand and gently push off the slide from the rear. It should slide off. putting it back on, is simple.. just slide it on to the rails and slide it back until it clicks.

With the KJ I had,
Take the mag out. (a MUST) Pull the slide about 3mm back, hold it. Push down on those little things infront of the trigger guard. Slide it forward and it should come off. EDIT - Damn you guys are fast, Cheers! |

Not a problem.
Made the mistake in my post, (you guys said it though) but the hammer actually has to be cocked in order for the slide to move off the frame. Sorry about that bit of misinformation. |

It comes off about a half an inch then stops. I don't want to break it further than it already is lol

did you rack the slide before attempting to remove it? IIRC Glocks must be cocked in order for the slide to be removed.

Step by step from when the gun is completely together:
1) Pull back the slide as if you were loading a bb. 2) Drop out the mag 3) Pull down the tabs 4) Push slide forward This should work and it should come apart. |

I keep trying and it keeps sticking, I know that the hammer is broken but that shouldn't be the problem.

Buying your friends broken KWA gbb probably wasn't the greatest idea for a "first gun"...
I'd gladly take it off your hands  Good luck  |

I've fixed numerous Pellet guns and hand guns so I thought this wouldn't be to different, and it really isn't. I figured out the part that's broken is what's giving me the touble. I'll kep trying to fix it but if i can't then I shall have it repaired. -sigh-
