Scope Cam?
I am thinking of getting a scope cam. One option is a modified Run Cam.
https://www.brainexplodermerch.com/p...-camera-bundle https://www.evike.com/products/60502/ But with shipping, taxes and duty it would be about $300 Cad. A much cheaper option would be this Go Pro knock off camera for $50 Cad, plus a Go Pro rail adapter [$15] to mount it on a airsoft rifle. https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07...YOY5868R&psc=1 It has a waterproof outer case which I would assume protect it from bb's plus a 4x zoom which is perfect for airsoft. Has anyone tried the Run Cam or the cheaper Go Pro knock off solution? I bought a Go Pro knock off a few years ago with no zoom and it worked well in Hawaii for snorkeling so the Chinese Go Pro knock offs do work well, but I have not tried one in a airsoft application. |

The point of a scope cam is to have an optical zoom on it, like Bainexploder's modified Runcam.
Digital zoom, like on that GoPro knockoff, is mostly just a cropped picture that's scaled back up. It usually results in significant picture quality drop. It might be sufficient for your needs, but it's difficult to recommend it for a scope cam. |
