Battery adapters
Hi,
I've got some batteries I was using with an RC car, and wanted to use them with my airsoft guns. They are Venom 7.2v high power NiMH 4200mah batteries. The adapter is wrong though. Anyone have any ideas on the easiest way to convert it over to mini tamiya standard adapter? I couldn't find adapters for sale, so I thought about asking people for their old dead batteries and then splicing/heat shrinking the new adapter on? Please see the two photos attached. Also... the gauge of the wires on my batteries is pretty high. Should I be worried about sending too much power into the airsoft gun motor? Thanks for any help and tips in advance! |

Just make an adapter to go to tamiya or T type or whatever you have. A 7.2v nimh is going to be very sluggish

Yeah 7.2v is gonna be REAL slow on an airsoft gun. 600rpm kind of slow.
It's going to be so slow, that a person with good enough reflexes is going to be able to dodge your shot before the BB has even left the barrel, even if you got the drop on them. |

Honestly, I would recommend getting LiPo batteries for your guns, but if you are set on your venom, swap the connectors on your gun and battery to dean's connectors, as well as your RC model, or if you don't want to swap the connectors on the RC, then make an adapter for dean's (on the battery) to (I'm assuming) bullet (on the RC). At most you should be looking at maybe $3-$5 for connectors
