Haven't played in 2 years, anyone able to fill me in on what's happened?
As the subject says, haven't played airsoft for 2 years and want to get back into it. Just curious if there's been any major developments in the airsoft scene since I stopped playing (i.e. new laws, new brands, new venues in the southern ontario region, etc.).
Thanks guys! |

Can't speak much to your region, but I'd say nothing has really changed in terms of brands. From my experience:
VFC and LCT still make the best AEG's, only real difference is pretty much all VFCs come with electronics now. The ASG Scorpion EVO is still a good gun despite relatively few changes. The new MAS Marauder and Blackout are both excellent guns for their price. I liked the G&G ARP 556 as well. Tokyo Marui is still the top-end GBBP brand. Don't use GBBR's or HPA, so I can't speak for those, but I'm pretty sure GHK is still king and I've heard good things about the Wolverine MTW. The only standout new brand that comes to mind is Arcturus. They're shiny and well-made but use some proprietary internals if I remember right. Welcome back! Hope you find some fun times. |

That sounds pretty familiar. VFC was definitely still the top dog of the M4 world back in the day, so I'm not surprised to hear that hasn't changed.
I've moved to Toronto now, so I'll hopefully be able to take advantage of Siege much more often now. Thanks for the update! |
