SRC Hopup
Hey,
I remember reading somewhere about how to adjust the hop-up on these guns- no results. According to the diagram, i just need to pull the bolt back and the dust cover pop's down to expose the hop-up. WELL, there is a cover on the inside of the dust cover. It wont go back to let me get at the hopup. Did i get a lemon or? Thanks

Hi Dozer,
I had the same problem with mine, I think it's just REALLY REALLY tight. I had to yank mine pretty hard to the point that I thought I was going to break it for it to open. Try slipping the upper receiver away from the lower a little bit, like you're going to take an m16 vn upper off of the lower receiver. This should allow you to pull the cocking handle all the way backand let the cover slide back as well. Just keep pulling it back and forth a few times and it should work after that. Another thing to note, when sliding the upper receiver off of the lower receiver, with my metal body I had to lift the cocking handle up and over the mechbox at one point, you may or may not need to, I can't really remember. Come to think of it, you probably won't. Just let the top of the mechbox inside hold the cocking handle but try to be careful not to slide it too hard and too fast forward to prevent breaking your tabs at the back. I just found it kind of finicky is all, but I did have the same problem you did. Hope this helps you out a little bit. Ok i got it. I just needed to use some man force. I've exposed about 1/2 the adjusting knob thing. That is enough to set it etc.
I wasnt expecting to use force but...some stuff just comes stiff i guess. Again, thanks!
